The woods of Ilok are an oasis of peace and fresh water stretching in the immediate vicinity of Ilok. Liska, the highest peak of the Vukovar-Srijem County (297 meters), can be found here, among the slopes of Fruška Gora. There are two marked tracks leading through fields, vineyards and wooded slopes. The tracks are 5 and 7 kilometres long respectively (1.5 and 2.5 hours of walking respectively); they are well-marked and can be easily climbed. Note: Some sections of the tracks lead along the border with the Republic of Serbia. Hikers are kindly asked not to go off the marked tracks and to strictly comply with the signs.
